Conway County School Counts instills in students the importance of developing skills and attitudes that help them succeed in the workforce for an improved quality of life. To be eligible for financial assistance, students must embrace the following core values and criteria.
These criteria correlate with the skills needed in today’s workforce of quality; work attendance, persistence, and goal setting.

On schedule to complete high school in four consecutive years.

Achieve a 90-95% attendance record each year for Grades 9 – 12.

ABOUT SCHOOL COUNTS
School Counts has a permanently endowed fund held with the Arkansas Community Foundation to support post-secondary education for any Conway County high school student who meets the School Counts criteria to attend UACCM.
School Counts Benefits Every Student in Conway County. More than 3,400 students from kindergarten through 12th grade hear about School Counts and its four core values every year from their teachers and the School Counts counselor. Students are encouraged to do their best work to earn good grades, always attend class, do more than is required and finish what they start. These core values will help prepare them for a competitive workforce and high paying job.
CURRENT 9-12 GRADE STUDENTS
Students have the opportunity to take general education or technical education classes at UACCM during high school. If students meet the criteria, School Counts will provide financial assistance along with UACCM.
UPON GRADUATION
Conway County graduates who meet the School Counts criteria and obtain a high school diploma may receive tuition assistance up to $1,500 depending on their specific eligibility. This includes a $250 tuition waiver from UACCM for students enrolled in general education or technical programs at the college. The award is renewable for up to three additional semesters depending on students’ continued eligibility.
An important note to consider: Students who complete an associate degree at a University of Arkansas System community college may transfer to the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and enjoy the same tuition rate they paid at their UA Community College! This is a wonderful financial perk that helps students and their parents afford postsecondary education.
